These are the readings that decide what a well needs. We measure them at your tap and show you every number.
- HardnessThe minerals behind white crust and spots.
- IronOrange and brown stains start above 0.3 ppm.
- SulfurThe rotten-egg smell, from hydrogen sulfide gas.
- pHWater that's too acidic can corrode pipes and fixtures.
- Dissolved solidsEverything dissolved in the water, which you taste as a mineral or salty edge.
- ChlorineIn case your well has been shocked or treated before.
What the test doesn't cover.
Bacteria and nitrate are health readings and need a state-certified lab. We'll point you to one near you, and we'll explain the lab's results if you'd like.
Florida health officials recommend that lab test at least once a year, and any time your water's taste, smell or color changes.
