Water softeners & whole-home filtration in Bradenton
Our home town. Whether your water comes from the City of Bradenton or Manatee County, we tell you what's in it, give you a flat, written price and install in a day.
What we see in Bradenton homes.
- 01
Minerals & taste
City water has run high in dissolved solids and sulfate, which you taste before you see.
- 02
Hard county water
Outside city limits, Manatee County water scales water heaters, fixtures and glass.
- 03
Chlorine & byproducts
Disinfected water carries a chemical taste and disinfection byproducts. Carbon takes care of both.
City and county homes both start with The Whole Home. Your utility's report and a quick call settle the final design. See all three systems, or take the one-minute quiz.
Four things that go in writing on every quote.Hold us to them.
- The price on the quote is the price on the invoice. Anything unusual about your install gets its own flat price, in writing, before we start.
- Commercial-grade parts, bought wholesale. No brand markup, and no proprietary filters that only we can sell you.
- Standard fittings and standard media. Any plumber in Manatee County can service it. You're never tied to us.
- One short visit, and it isn't a pitch. Your utility already publishes what's in your water, so we start there. Before install day we stop by once for a short look at where your water comes in, so we can tell you in writing whether the job is standard, whether any extra work has a charge, and whether re-piping means bringing in a licensed plumber.
Home turf, two water systems.
Bradenton is where we're based, and it's served by two different utilities. Inside city limits, around downtown, the Village of the Arts and the east side, the City of Bradenton treats water from the Bill Evers Reservoir on the Braden River, blended with aquifer storage wells. Much of the surrounding area, including West Bradenton, Bayshore Gardens, South Bradenton, Cortez and the east-county neighborhoods, is unincorporated and gets Manatee County water instead.
The two taste different. The city's 2025 water quality report shows total dissolved solids of 550 ppm and sulfate of 288 ppm, both above the EPA's secondary limits. Those limits cover taste and appearance, not safety, but they explain the mineral taste many city residents notice. The city doesn't report a hardness figure, so we measure it at your tap. The city also stopped adding fluoride in July 2025, as required by a new state law.
Manatee County water is a blend of Lake Manatee reservoir water and aquifer wells, disinfected with chloramine. Manatee County's 2025 water quality data lists total hardness of 106 to 279 mg/L, roughly 6 to 16 grains per gallon. For county homes, scale and chloramine are the main jobs. For city homes, a kitchen reverse osmosis system makes the biggest difference, since RO is what removes dissolved solids and sulfate.

What Bradenton homeowners ask us.
Am I on City of Bradenton or Manatee County water?
Check who sends your water bill. City customers are billed by the City of Bradenton, and Manatee County's property appraiser site shows whether your address is inside city limits. A few areas billed by the city may still receive county water, so we confirm which one serves your address when we call.
Why does my city water taste mineral or slightly salty?
The city's 2025 report shows dissolved solids and sulfate above the EPA's secondary (taste and appearance) limits. After Hurricane Helene in 2024, storm surge also pushed brackish water into the reservoir for a time. An under-sink RO system removes most dissolved solids, sulfate and sodium from your drinking water.
Is Bradenton city water safe to drink?
The exceedances flagged in the city's 2025 report are secondary standards, which cover taste, odor and appearance rather than health. Filtration is about taste, scale and peace of mind, and our test shows you exactly what's in your tap.
Does the city still add fluoride?
No. The City of Bradenton stopped adding fluoride on July 1, 2025, under a new Florida law. A little natural fluoride is still present at low levels.
How fast can you get here?
Bradenton is home base, so scheduling is usually quick. Text us and we'll find an install date that works.
Nobody is coming to sit at your kitchen table.
Most companies want to come test your water so they can sit at your table and sell. We don't need to: your utility publishes exactly what's in it, every year. The one visit before install day is a short look at where your water comes in, so the price we put in writing covers any extra plumbing work.
