Drinking water system (RO) installation in Bradenton & Sarasota County

A drinking water system sits under your kitchen sink and gives you clean-tasting water from its own small faucet. RO stands for reverse osmosis: water is pushed through a very fine membrane that lets water through and holds back most of what's dissolved in it. One flat price in writing, on its own or with the rest of your system.

What it fixes.

Whole-house filters and softeners treat every tap. A drinking water system finishes the job at the one tap you drink from.

  • Mineral or salty tasteThe City of Bradenton's 2025 report shows dissolved solids and sulfate above the EPA's taste limits. Reverse osmosis removes most of both.
  • Sodium from a softenerA softener adds a little sodium. The drinking water system takes most of it back out.
  • Bottled water runsClean water from your own faucet, without carrying cases home.
  • Peace of mindReverse osmosis is one of the recommended options for PFAS, when the unit is certified for it. Our PFAS guide shows what local testing found.

What's included.

Installed, connected and tested, with nothing to finish yourself.

  • The under-sink unitPre-filters, the reverse osmosis membrane and a final filter, in one compact unit.
  • A storage tankA small tank under the sink, so a full glass pours quickly.
  • Its own faucetA separate faucet on your sink or counter, just for drinking water.
  • Drain connectionThe membrane rinses what it holds back down the drain. We connect it properly so it doesn't gurgle or leak.
  • Before and after testWe measure dissolved solids at the tap before and after, so you see the number drop.

Options, if you want them.

Nothing here is required. If it suits you, add it at a flat price.

  • A booster pumpFaster refill, a stronger pour and less water down the drain. Worth it for big households or lower water pressure.
  • A mineral stageAdds back a little calcium and magnesium for taste. Some people prefer it.
  • Whole-house treatment tooPair it with a whole-house filter, a softener or both.

Upkeep, after year one.

Change the filters about once a year. The membrane lasts longer, usually a few years.

Or hand it to us with the water-care plan: we change the filters, check the system and retest your water once a year.

  • Standard filtersSold in plenty of places, not just by us.
  • A quick changeThe filters twist off and on. We show you how on install day.
  • Retest any timeIf the taste changes, text us and we'll check the numbers.

Drinking water system questions.

What is reverse osmosis, in plain words?

Water is pushed through a membrane with holes so small that water gets through but most dissolved minerals, salts and many contaminants don't. What's held back rinses down the drain.

Does it waste water?

Some. Rinsing the membrane sends a share of the water down the drain. It only runs when the small tank refills, and the booster pump option cuts the waste further.

Does reverse osmosis remove fluoride?

Yes, most of it. The City of Bradenton stopped adding fluoride in July 2025, so there's little there to begin with.

Does it remove PFAS?

Reverse osmosis is one of the recommended options, but only a unit certified for PFOA/PFOS reduction can claim it. Ask us and we'll show you the certification for the unit we'd install.

Will the water taste flat?

Some people notice it's very clean-tasting. If you'd like a little mineral back, add the mineral stage.

Do I need a whole-house system too?

Not for drinking water. A whole-house system handles chlorine and scale at every other tap; the drinking water system covers the glass in your hand.

How long does install take?

A couple of hours on its own, or the same day as the rest of your system.
