Water softeners & whole-home filtration in Palmetto
Just across the river from our Bradenton base. We tell you what's in your water, give you a flat price, and install in a day.
What we see in Palmetto homes.
- 01
Hard water
White crust on faucets and film on glassware, plus a water heater that works harder every year.
- 02
Chloramine
Chemical-smelling showers, dry skin and faded laundry.
- 03
Older plumbing
Sediment and rust from older pipes end up in aerators and the water heater.
Most Palmetto homes start with The Whole Home. Your utility's report and a quick call settle the final design. See all three systems, or take the one-minute quiz.
Four things that go in writing on every quote.Hold us to them.
- The price on the quote is the price on the invoice. Anything unusual about your install gets its own flat price, in writing, before we start.
- Commercial-grade parts, bought wholesale. No brand markup, and no proprietary filters that only we can sell you.
- Standard fittings and standard media. Any plumber in Manatee County can service it. You're never tied to us.
- One short visit, and it isn't a pitch. Your utility already publishes what's in your water, so we start there. Before install day we stop by once for a short look at where your water comes in, so we can tell you in writing whether the job is standard, whether any extra work has a charge, and whether re-piping means bringing in a licensed plumber.
Older homes, right next door.
Palmetto is the closest town to our Bradenton shop, just over the Green Bridge, which usually means quick scheduling. Whether your bill comes from the City of Palmetto or Manatee County, the water is the same Manatee County supply: Lake Manatee reservoir water blended with aquifer wells and disinfected with chloramine. It's hard, too. Manatee County's 2025 water quality data lists total hardness of 106 to 279 mg/L, roughly 6 to 16 grains per gallon.
Much of Palmetto's housing is older, especially around the historic downtown. Aging galvanized or copper lines can shed rust and sediment that clog aerators and settle in water heaters. A whole-home sediment stage catches what comes in from the street, and we'll tell you honestly if the pipes inside the house are the bigger issue.
Newer development along US-41 and US-301, at Riviera Dunes and out toward Ellenton gets the same hard, chloraminated water. Those homes usually just need scale and chloramine handled.

What Palmetto homeowners ask us.
Will a whole-home filter fix rusty water from old pipes?
It removes rust and sediment coming in from the main. If the rust is coming from corroded pipes inside the house, filtering at the entry won't stop it, and we'll tell you so. Our test helps pin down which it is.
How soon can you come out?
Palmetto is minutes from our base, so an install can often be scheduled within a few days. Book online or call, and we'll find a time.
Does a softener waste a lot of water?
Ours are metered, so they regenerate based on what you actually use, not on a fixed timer. That keeps water and salt use low.
What maintenance is involved?
Add salt to the softener every month or two and change the sediment filter on schedule. The carbon tank lasts years. We'll remind you when service is due.
Nobody is coming to sit at your kitchen table.
Most companies want to come test your water so they can sit at your table and sell. We don't need to: your utility publishes exactly what's in it, every year. The one visit before install day is a short look at where your water comes in, so the price we put in writing covers any extra plumbing work.
